Dear people,

This morning police escorted us in small groups to the local bar to take a cappuccino. It’s one of those things that I like about this march. Nothing is normal. For us, every day is extraordinary. Yesterday evening before we went to sleep, the police officer on duty asked us if there was something he could do for us. Jokingly, we requested sweet pastries and cappuccino for breakfast. It turned out he took us seriously.

After breakfast we walk in group and we sing. Today is more special than usual. Today we reach Naples.

All along the route through the colourful outskirts people look us on, they join their hands to make the typical Italian sign that means ‘what the hell?’. We tell them about the march, about Athens, and they smile. It’s a smile of appreciation, and one that says ‘you’re completely out of your mind.’

We arrive at Capodimonte where we enjoy a first view of the city. We see the Vesuvius. Very timidly and very briefly, it snows. Last time that happened here was in 1986. It must be a good sign.

In a world where all countries and all cities tend to resemble each other, Naples is in a league of its own. Nothing compares to this city, nothing compares to her character. She’s the best, and she’s the worst. Like women, you can never fully understand Naples. You can only adore her, e basta.

We descend over the central Via Toledo, we are received by local indignados who accompany us to the landmark Piazza del Gesù, where we had decided to camp.

Immediately upon arrival, the tents are deployed, for the first time since Sperlonga. There is an army jeep with three soldiers guarding the square. They are bewildered, but they like us right from the start.

Only when police arrive there is a bit of tension. Obviously they didn’t expect us. They say we can’t camp here, and they do so in an authoritative way. It’s against the rules.

The rules! If we played by the rules, we wouldn’t have started a revolution. We reply in an equally authoritative tone. ‘Do whatever you want to do, but we’re here and we’re staying.’ In the background, the soldiers giggle.

Police march off. There’s heavy telephone traffic going on with headquarters. An hour later they return. We can officially stay.

The first popular assembly we held in the square was a big success. There are lots of locals passing by, and almost all of them stop to see what’s going on. Many of them join the assembly.

We introduced ourselves, we spoke about our dreams, and we received invitations to a popular dinner and to a hold an assembly in the university. But when we invited people to speak about the problems of Naples, no-one dared to dig into it, like we expected.

Still, we launched a challenge. For ourselves and for the Neapolitans. In a few days we intend to organise a thematical assembly on what I called ‘the business of trash’, and the role of the camorra.

I’m curious to see what’ll happen. First thing, we decided to install a night watch…

Dear people,

We’ve returned to the known world. Here there’s just the trash and the general absence of hope. We know now that things could be a lot worse.

This is a northern suburb of Naples, and we shouldn’t be here. We were supposed to go to a tiny place called Zaccaria. But it turned out none of the locals had ever heard of it. So we walked on, arriving after dark in the nearest inhabited place we could find.

We were received by the police. Not with clubs and guns, but with pizza, pastries and wine. It caused a bit of embarassment among some of us, and hilarity among others. We were offered to stay in the aula for official events, and in the end we accepted.

For us as revolutionaries it’s a bit difficult to explain that we are guests of the police without there being bars between them and us. But we don’t worry too much about it. The pizza is good and outside it’s cold, menacing snow, and in such a situation we are easily corruptible as well.

And this.

In any case, it’s true that the police in Italy have a lot to complain about. Budget cuts mostly. When things are going bad economically, it’s natural for governments to cut spending on education and health care. But when spending on police is cut, things are going really bad. Part of the police officers have short term contacts. Part of the vehicles can’t be used because there is no money for fuel.

In the beginning of the march, so I heard, police were pretty invasive. They stopped the group almost every day to control identity papers. Then one day, the walkers decided they wouldn’t show them.

“Take us all away if necessary, or do whatever you need to do, but we won’t comply.” In the face of this collective refusal, the active officer called his superiors. Shortly after, the march could continue.

Police didn’t ask papers after that anymore. They are always helpful, but never before have they received us this way.

After we had installed our shopping carts, our sleeping bags and our field kitchen in the police aula, we also received a visit from the town council. They congratulated us briefly, and after witnessing a piece of our turbulent internal assembly, they left, wishing us good luck.

Nei momenti liberi dell'11 (da stabilire se mattina o pomeriggio), del 12 (mattina) e del 13 (mattina) si lascerà spazio a chi vorrà organizzare un atelier/gruppo di lavoro in cui sviluppare un argomento specifico; l'interessato si occuperà personalmente di coinvolgere le persone presenti.

La Piazza centrale inserita nei giorni centrali dell'Agorà non è specificata per motivi tecnici, ma il luogo è già stato individuato.

Il time table provvisorio prevede, ogni giorno, due momenti fissi: ogni mattina (salvo presenza in programma di altre iniziative), assemblea interna dei Movimenti internazionali (incontro su strategie, giornate comuni, tecniche di diffusione e di comunicazione interna); ogni sera, dopo cena, Assemblea di Verifica della giornata.

La settimana dall’11 al 18 gennaio vedrà arrivare a Roma la Marcia Popolare Internazionale partita da Nizza: persone provenienti da Francia, Belgio, Spagna, Italia e Grecia in cammino insieme per portare sostegno nei riguardi di tutti i popoli in lotta e creare una convergenza delle loro problematiche a livello internazionale.La marcia lungo il suo percorso ha aiutato la generazione di assemblee popolari ponendosi come obiettivo principale esortare alla libertà di parola, per riappropriarsi della politica attraverso l‘incontro, lo scambio, la testimonianza e la messa in discussione, provocando una riflessione individuale e collettiva al fine che siano proposte delle soluzioni alternative al sistema capitalista .
L'AGORA:
Un incontro nato come conseguenza di questo momento storico, rivoluzionario e senza precedenti in tutto il mondo. Ci unisce il tentativo di capire le cause di questa situazione drammatica che ci porta verso un futuro incerto, e il tentativo comune di contribuire al cambiamento nella società e nella coscienza sociale.
La finalità dell’incontro è la coordinazione di questa ri-evoluzione a livello internazionale, mediante la formazione di una rete che ci permetta di costruire una società che dia priorità alla vita prima che agli interessi economici o politici.
Noi lavoriamo per una democrazia diretta, fondata sul principio dell'orizzontalità, per contrastare il potere decisionale della cosiddetta democrazia rappresentativa, retta dalla speculazione finanziaria globale.
Tutto ciò passa necessariamente per una nuova percezione dello spazio e del tempo, attraverso la riappropriazione dello spazio pubblico come luogo comune di vita, di dialogo permanente, di creatività artistica e di libertà d’ espressione nel rispetto dell' ambiente.
La nostra metodologia é pacifica e nonviolenta ma ferma e determinata. Noi ci appelliamo alla disobbedienza civile, basandoci per le nostre azioni non più su ciò che é legale o illegale bensì su ciò che ci appare legittimo od illegittimo.

In questa settimana i quartieri della capitale si riempiranno di agora, dibattiti e proposte, su molteplici fori tematici, azioni, performance, attività culturali, gruppi di lavoro, assemblee itineranti, e laboratori .

During the week of 11 to 18 January, the international people's March, which left from Nice, will arrive in Rome: walkers from France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Greece marching together to bring their support to all peoples in struggle, and to bring about a convergence of all their concerns at an international level. THE AGORA:
This meeting is the result of a historic revolutionary situation, which is unprecedented in its worldwide character. What unites us is the endeavour to understand the causes of this dramatic situation and the uncertain future towards which it leads us, as well as the common effort to realise meaningful change in society and achieve a true shift in social consciousness.
The purpose of this meeting is the coordination of this fledging global revolutionary movement, through the formation of a network which would allow us to build a society that prioritises life over economic or political concerns.
We strive for the erection of a direct democracy, founded on the principle of horizontality, and destined to counter the power of decision of so-called 'representative democracy,' which is ultimately ruled by the power of globalised financial speculation.
All this ineluctably rests on a new perception of space and time, and especially the reclaiming of public space as a place for common existence, permanent dialogue, artistic creativity and freedom of speech, a space self-managed and respectful of Mother Nature.
Our approach is pacific, but firm and determined. We urge for civil disobedience, basing our actions not on their legality or illegality, but rather upon concerns of legitimacy or illegitimacy.

This week of agora will see the streets of the capital swarmed with debates and proposals, with multiple thematic fora, street actions, performances, cultural activities, working groups, touring assemblies and laboratories.

La semana del 11 al 18 de enero llegará a Roma la Marcha Popular Internacional que comenzó en Niza: la gente de Francia, Bélgica, España, Italia y Grecia en un viaje juntos para brindar apoyo a todos los pueblos en conflicto y crear una convergencia entre todos sus problemas a un nivel internacional. La marcha, por el camino, ha ayudado a generar las asambleas populares poniendose como principal objetivo fomentar la libertad de expresión, para recuperar la política a través de la reunión, el intercambio, el testimonio y el cuestionamiento, provocando una reflexión individual y colectiva con el fin de que se propongan soluciones alternativas al sistema capitalista.

Un encuentro que nació como resultado de este momento histórico, revolucionario y sin precedentes en todo el mundo. Την εβδομάδα από 11 ως 18 Ιανουαρίου θα φτάσει στη Ρώμη η Διεθνής Λαϊκή Πορεία που ξεκίνησε από τη Νίκαια : άνρθωποι προερχόμενοι από τη Γαλλία, το Βέλγιο, την Ιταλία, την Ισπανία και την Ελλάδα ενωμένοι για να υποστηρίξουν όλους τους λαούς που βρίσκονται σε δύσκολη θέση και να δημιουργήσουν σύγκλιση όλων των προβληματικών τους σε διεθνές επίπεδο. Στο δρόμο, η πορεία βοήθησε να γίνουν οι λαϊκές συνελέυσεις θέτοντας ως βασικό στόχο την ενθάρρυνση της ελευθερίας έκφρασης, για να ξαναβρούμε την πολιτική μέσω της συνάθροισης, της ανταλλαγής απόψεων της μαρτυρίας και της αμφισβήτησης, προκαλώντας ατομική και συλλογική σκέψη με σκοπό την πρόταση εναλλακτικών λύσεων στο καπιταλιστικό σύστημα.

Η Αγορά :

Μια συνάντηση που γεννήθηκε ως αποτέλεσμα αυτής της ιστορικής στιγμής, επαναστικής και χωρίς προηγούμενα σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο. Αυτό που μας ενώνει είναι η επιδείωξη να καταλάβουμε τις αιτίες της δραματικής αυτής κατάστασης που μας οδηγεί σε ένα αβέβαιο μέλλον, και η κοινή προσπάθεια για να πετύχουμε μια αλλαγή στην κοινωνία και στην κοινωνική συνείδηση.

Ο αντικειμενικός σκοπός της συνάθροισης είναι ο συντονισμός της νέας αυτής ανάπτυξης διεθνώς με το σχηματισμό ενός δικτύου που θα μας επιτρέπει να χτίσουμε μια κοινωνία που δίνει προτεραιότητα στη ζωή παρά στα οικονομικά και πολιτικά συμφέροντα.

Εργαζόμαστε για μια άμεση δημοκρατία, βασιζόμενη στην αρχή της οριζόντιας οργάνωσης, για να αντιτεθούμε στην εξουσία της λεγόμενης αντιπροσωπευτικής δημοκρατίας, η οποία κυβερνάει με την παγκόσμια οικονομική κερδοσκοπία.

Όλα αυτά αναγκαστικά περνάνε από μία νέα αντίληψη του χώρου και του χρόνου, μέσω της επανάκτησης του δημόσιου χώρου ως κοινού τόπου ζωής, συνεχούς διαλόγου, καλλιτεχνικής δημιουργικότητας και ελευθερίας έκφρασης σε σχέση με το περιβάλλον.

Η μεθοδολογία μας είναι ειρηνική και όχι βίαιη. σταθερή όμως και αποφασιστική. Καλούμε σε πολιτική ανυπακοή. βασίζοντας πλέον τις πράξεις μας όχι στο τί είναι νόμιμο ή παράνομο. αλλά σ' αυτό που φαίνεται θεμιτό ή αθέμιτο.

Την εβδομάδα αυτή οι συνοικίες της πρωτεύουσας θα είναι γεμάστες από "αγορές". συζητήσεις και προτάσεις σε πολλά θεματικά "φόρουμ" δράσεις, θεάματα, καλλιτεχνικές εκδηλώσεις, ομάδες εργασίας, περιοδεύουσες συνελεύσεις και εργαστήρια.

Indignati contro People Mover e MotorShow All’università arriva Occupy Wall Street

Arriva oggi a Bologna la “March to Atens” che un gruppo di “indignati” ha intrapreso partendo, a novembre, da Nizza. “Ragazzi di diversa provenienza hanno deciso di intraprendere un cammino da Nizza, luogo in cui si è svolto l’ultimo meeting dei grandi (delinquenti) della Terra, il G20, in direzione di Atene – spiegano i promotori su Facebook- attraversando l’Italia da nord a sud e raccogliendo nel ‘Libro del Popolo’ le rivendicazioni e le lotte che stanno portando avanti tutte le persone che incontreranno sulla loro strada”. Il primo appuntamento bolognese dell’iniziativa, spiega uno dei “marciatori”, Massimiliano, è per le 15 all’ingresso dell’aeroporto Marconi. Da lì partirà un’azione comunicativa contro la realizzazione del People mover: gli “indignati”, in pratica, intendono incamminarsi lungo il percorso della “famigerata” monorotaia pensata per collegare lo scalo con la stazione centrale. In zona Fiera, poi, la marcia approfitterà del Motorshow per incontrare sia la protesta del comitato “No People mover” che quella dei ciclisti che daranno vita allo “Human motor 2011″, critical mass che partirà da piazza Nettuno proprio per manifestare contro il salone dedicato ai motori. La marcia, infine, approderà in piazza Maggiore con l’obiettivo di dare vita ad “un’accampata – spiega Massimiliano – con cui fermarci per qualche giorno a Bologna”.

L’APPUNTAMENTO – Bologna capitale dei movimenti contro la crisi. Martedì prossimo, 13 dicembre, tre attivisti dei movimenti Occupy Wall Street, Indignados e Greco saranno dalle 19 alla Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia su invito del collettivo universitario “Ateneinrivolta Bologna”. “La conferenza – si legge in una nota – nasce dall’esigenza di informazione sulla situazione politica, sociale ed economica della Grecia, della Spagna e degli Usa e sulla necessità di avere una trasmissione diretta delle esperienze dei protagonisti di questi movimenti e, un dibattito sulle forme di lotta e di autorganizzazione dei movimenti sociali”.

Una marcia, due marcie Genova 21 novembre 2011.
Nell'assemblea di ieri 20 novembre 2011 la marcia internazionale verso Atene ha deciso di dividersi in due gruppi a differenza di ciò che si era deciso nel piano principale. La marcia costale seguirà la strada che va verso la costa ovest attraverso La Spezia e la marcia interna che andrà verso Parma Bologna e Firenze. Siamo arrivati a questa decisione per poter raggiungere un maggior numero di città in cui organizzare assemblee e nello stesso tempo ottenere una diversa esperienza che arricchirà la nostra avventura. Le due marcie si terranno in contatto e si riuniranno prima dell'Agora di ROma. Sfortunatamente abbiamo dovuto rivedere il programma iniziale di passare per Milano per mantenere la data di arrivo a ROma per il 15 gennaio.

Appello Internazionale della Marcia Nizza-Roma-Atene

Il prossimo passo per la dignità!

Dopo aver partecipato all'Agorà e all'evento complessivo 15 ottobre 2011 a Bruxelles, abbiamo deciso che la marcia non poteva fermarsi dopo l’arrivo a Bruxelles. Dal nostro desiderio di continuare a camminare al fine di diffondere il nostro messaggio, connettersi con le altre assemblee nel mondo, nasce la Marcia Internazionale verso Atene. Un progetto aperto a tutti coloro che vogliono partecipare e sostenerci.

Ci incontreremo a Nizza 5 novembre 2011, dopo il G20 (30 ottobre- 4 novembre) per organizzarci e partire qualche giorno più tardi. Passeremo per diverse città e paesi d’Italia. Attraverseremo l'Adriatico da Bari per raggiungere la Grecia e, infine, arriveremo ad Atene. Parteciperemo alle Agorà Globali che si terranno a Roma e ad Atene all’arrivo delle marce.

Piccoli gruppi di escursionisti e ciclisti (da 12 a 25 marciatori) avanzeranno per percorsi paralleli per coprire più territorio. L'idea consiste nel raccogliersi nelle grandi città, ripartire insieme e separasi di nuovo in seguito. Ogni volta che un gruppo supererà le 25 persone, si separerà in due gruppi indipendenti. In ogni paese le marce convocheranno delle assemblee e scambieranno esperienze, problematiche ed idee.

I valori che uniscono le marce sono l’orizzontalità, la partecipazione attiva, la nonviolenza e il sincretismo.Ci proponiamo di continuare il lavoro delle assemble e il processo decisionale per consenso. Lavoreremo anche per garantire la sostenibilità di camminare e passare un messaggio di rispetto per l'ambiente.

Facciamo questa marcia per animare le persone a occupare lo spazio pubblico e a riunirsi per parlare di politica e decidere della propria vita. Facciamo questa marcia per proporre et imparare, per ispirare e arricchirci,per parlare ed ascoltare,dare e ricevere. Noi vogliamo raggiungere Roma e Atene per apportare un messaggio di speranza e di unità. Ma soprattutto, vogliamo partecipare alle agorà globali per coordinarci su scala internazionale,al fine di preparare dei progetti comuni confrontare insieme i problemi e creare una società migliore per tutti.

Marciamo per fare arrivare il nostro messaggio ai quattro angoli del mondo:

“Una democrazia migliore è possibile. Cominciamo dal cambiamento!

Marciamo per la dignità. Insieme cosrtuiamo un'utopia!"

MARCHE INTERNATIONALE A ATHÈNES

Le pas suivant pour la dignité!

Après avoir participé a l'Ágora et à la manifestation globale du 15 octobre 2011 à Bruxelles, nous avons décidé que la Marche ne pouvait plus s'arrêter après l'arrivée à Bruxelles. De notre volonté de continuer à marcher afin de diffuser notre message, connecter avec les autres assemblées du monde est née la Marche Internationale à Athènes. Un proget ouvert à tous ceux qui veuillent y participer et nous soutenir.

Nous nous retrouverons à Nice le 5 novembre 2011 après le G20 (30 oct - 4 nov) pour nous organiser et partir quelques jours plus tard. Nous passerons par différents villles et villages d'Italie. Nous traverserons l'Adriatique depuis Bari pour atteindre la Grêce et finalement arriver à Athènes. Nous participerons aux Agoras Globales qui seront organisées à Rome comme à Athènes à l'arrivée des marches.

La marche se compose de petits groupes de marcheurs et ciclistes (aprox. de 12 à 25) qui avanceront par des routes parallèles pour couvrir plus de territoire. L'idée consistant à se rassembler dans les grandes villes et repartir ensemble pour se reséparer ensuite. Chaque fois que le goupe dépassera les 25 personnes, la marche se scindera en deux groupes indépendants. Dans chaque village les marches convoqueront des assemblées et échangeront leurs experiences, problématiques et idées.

Les valeurs qui unissent les macrhes sont l'horizontalité, la participation active, la non violence et le sincretisme. Nous nous proposons de continuer le travail assembléaire et la prise de décisions par consensus. Nous travaillerons également pour véiller à la soutenabilité de la marche et transmettre un messaje de respect a l'environement.

Nous faisons cette marche pour animer les gens à occuper l'espace public et à s'y réunir pour parler de politique et decider de sa propre vie. Nous entreprenons cette marche pour proposer et apprendre, pour inspirer et nous enrichir, pour parler et écouter, donner et recevoir. Nous voulons atteindre Rome et Athènes pour apporter un message d'espoir et d'unité. Mais avant tout nous voulons participer aux agoras globales pour nous coordonner a échelle internationale, afin de préparer des projets communs, confronter ensemble les problèmes et créer une société meilleure pour tous.

Nous marchons pour faire arriver notre message aux quatre coins du monde :

"Une démocratie meilleure est possible. Partons du changement!"

ΔΙΕΘΝΗΣ ΠΟΡΕΙΑ ΣΤΗΝ ΑΘΗΝΑ

Το επόμενο βήμα για την αξιοπρέπεια!

Μετά τη συμμετοχή μας στη Διεθνή Αγορά και τη διαδήλωση της 15ης Οκτωβρίου στις Βρυξέλλες, αποφασίσαμε ο η Πορεία δεν μπορεί να σταματήσει. Από τη θέλησή μας νασυνεχίσουμε να περπατάμε για να διαδόσουμε το μήνυμά μας και για να συνδεθούμε με τις άλλες συνελεύσεις του κόσμου, γεννήθηκε η Διεθνής Πορεία στην Αθήνα, ένα σχέδιο ανοιχτό προς όλους όσοι θέλουν να συμμετάσχουν και να στηρίξουν.

Θα συναντηθούμε στη Νίκαια (Νιce) στις 5 Νοεμβρίου μετά το G20 (30 Οκτ με 4 Νοεμβ) για να οργνωθούμε και να ξεκινήσουμε μετά από λίγες μέρες. Θα περάσουμε από διάφορα χωριά και πόλεις της Ιταλίας, θα διασχίσουμε την Αδριατική θάλασσα από το Μπάρι για να φτάσουμε στην Ελλάδα και θα περπατήσουμε ως την Αθήνα, τον τελικό μας προορισμό. Τόσο στη Ρώμη, όσο στην Αθήνα θα λάβουμε μέρος στη Διεθνή Αγορά που θα οργανωθεί στην άφιξη της πορείας.

Η πορεία θα αποτελείται από μικρές ομάδες οδοιπόρων ή ποδηλατών (από 12 ως 25 περίπου) που θα προχωρούν από παράλληλους διαδρομές. Στις μεγάλες πόλεις οι ομάδες αυτές θα ενώνονται και μπορεί να διασχίζουν μέρος της απόστασης μαζί. Κάθε φορά που ο αριθμός των οδοιπόρων θα ξεπερνά τους 25 η πορεία θα χωρίζεται σε δυο ανεξάρτητες ομάδες. Σε κάθε χωριό οι πορείες θα καλούν συνελεύσεις και θα ανταλλάσουν εμπειρίες, προβληματικές και ιδέες.

Οι αξίες που ενώνουν τις διάφορες πορείες είναι η οριζόντια οργάνωση, η ενεργή συμμετοχή, η μη-βία και η συμπερίληψη. 'Εχουμε την πρόθεση να συνεχίσουμε τις συνελεύσεις και τη λήψη των αποφάσεων μέ συναίνεση, ασκώντας έτσι την Άμεση Δημοκρατία. Επίσης θα εργαστούμε για να επιτύχουμε την βιοσιμότητα της πορείας και για τη μετάδοση του μηνύματος σεβασμού προς στο περιβάλλον.

Κάνουμε αυτή την πορεία για να ενθαρρύνουμε τον κόσμο να βγει στους δημόσιους χώρους και να συγκεντρωθεί, να μιλήσει για πολιτική και να αποφασίσει για την ίδια τη ζωή του. Κάνουμε αυτήν την πορεία για να προτείνουμε και να μάθουμε, για να εμπνεύσουμε και να εμπλουτιστούμε, για να μιλήσουμε και να ακούσουμε, να δόσουμε και να πάρουμε. Θέλουμε να φτάσουμε στη Ρώμη και στην Αθήνα για να μεταφέρουμε ένα μήνυμα ελπίδας και ενότητας. Πάνω από όλα θέλουμε να συμμετάσχουμε στη Διεθνή Αγορά για να συντονιστούμε σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, για να ετοιμάσουμε κοινά σχέδια, να αντιμετωπίσουμε μαζί τα προβλήματα και να δημιουργήσουμε μία κοινωνία δίκαιη για όλους.

Περπατάμε για ένα κόσμο με αξιοπρέπεια. Ολοι μαζι μπορούμε να φτασούμε στην ουτοπία.

MARCHA INTERNACIONAL A ATENAS

Siguente paso por la dignidad!

Después de participar en el Ágora y la manifestación global del 15 de octubre en Bruselas, hemos decidido que la Marcha ya no puede parar. Desde nuestra voluntad de continuar caminando para difundir nuestro mensaje, conectar con las otras asambleas del mundo ha nacido la Marcha Internacional a Atenas. Un proyecto abierto a todos los que quieran participar y apoyar.

Nos encontraremos en Niza el 5 de noviembre 2011 después del G20 (30 oct - 4 nov) para organizarnos y salir unos días después. Pasaremos por diferentes pueblos y ciudades de Italia. Cruzaremos el mar Adriático desde Bari para llegar a Grecia y como destino final caminaremos hasta Atenas. Tanto en Roma como en Atenas participaremos en las Agoras globales que se organizarán a la llegada de las marchas.

La marcha estará formada por pequeños grupos de caminantes y ciclistas (aprox. de 12 a 25) que avanzarán por rutas paralelas para cubrir mas territorrio. La idea es unirse en las grandes ciudades y después recorrer parte de la distancia juntos. Cada vez que el numero de personas supere unas 25 , el grupo se dividirá en dos otros indepedientes. En cada pueblo las marchas convocarán asambleas e intercambiarán experiencias, problemáticas e ideas.

Los valores que unen las varias marchas son la horizontalidad, la participacion activa, la no-violencia y la inclusividad. Se proponemos continuar el trabajo asambleario y la toma de decisiones a través de los consensos. También se trabajará para llegar a la sustentabilidad de la marcha y transmitir un mensaje de respeto al medio ambiente.

Hacemos esta Marcha para animar a la gente a tomar el espacio publico y reunirse, a hablar de polìtica y decidir por su propia vida. Hacemos esta Marcha para proponer y aprender, para inspirar y enriquecernos, para hablar y escuchar, dar y recibir. Queremos llegar a Roma y a Atenas para llevar un mensaje de esperanza y unidad. Sobre todo queremos participar en las Agoras Globales para coordinarnos a nivel internacional, para preparar proyectos comunes, para confrontar juntos los problemas y crear una sociedad mejor para todos.

Marchamos para hacer llegar nuestro mensaje a todos los lugares del mundo :

INTERNATIONAL MARCH TO ATHENS

Next step for dignity!

After our participation in the Ágora and 15th of Octuber global manifestation in Brussels, we have decided that our march can't be stopped. And since our desire is to continue spreading our message and to connect with the other assemblies of the world, the International March to Athens is borned, as an open project to all who wants to support and participate in it.

We will meet in Niza on the 5th of Novembre 2011 after the G20 Summit (30th Octubre - 4th Novembre) to organize ourselves and go few days afterwards. We will pass by different villages and cities of Italy. We will cross the Adriatic Sea from Bari to reach Greece, then we will walk to Athens as final destiny. In both of Rome and Athens, we will participate in the global Agoras the will be organized at the arrival of the marches.

The march will be formed by small groups of walkers and cyclists (12 to 25 person aprox.), that will advance by parallel routes to reach out more people on the way. The idea is to reunite in cities then to walk part of the distance together. Everytime that the number of the group reaches about 25 person, the main group will be divided in to two independent groups. And in every village the march will call for asemblies and will exchange experiance, problems and ideas.

The values that unite the different marches are the horizontality, the active participation, the no-violence, and the inclusivity of the members. We propose to continue the asambleary work and the decision making through consensus by practicing direct democracy. We will also work to reach the sustainability of the march and to convey a message of respect to the environment.
